Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) is entrusted to build affordable and comfortable houses through the implementation of two housing programmes besides to help reviving abandoned housing projects. SPNB is also involves in developing government quarters and a special housing project as directed by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Rumah Mampu Milik Programme
The main responsibility of SPNB is concentrated on the development of affordable houses all over the country through the implementation of the Rumah Mampu Milik Programme.
Currently, SPNB has successfully completed a few of its low cost, low medium cost and medium cost housing projects through the said programme. |

Rumah Mesra Rakyat Programme
Under this programme, SPNB is offering a home ownership for low income group with the yearly income is not exceeding RM18,000 and for those who are facing difficulties in obtaining a housing loan from the financial institutions.
To show our commitment towards helping the less fortunate people, SPNB has approved a total of 14,276* applications all over the country whereby 7,428* units have been successfully completed and another 6,848* units are under construction and agreement.

Rehabilitation of Abandoned Housing Programme
On 10th of March 2001, SPNB was appointed by the Ministry of Finance under supervision of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government as the Implementation Agency for rehabilitation of Abandoned Housing Projects.
As at December 2008, SPNB has been entrusted to take over and rehabilitate a total of 255 abandoned housing projects all over the country which involved 74,376 units of houses. |

Government Quarters Programme
SPNB also acts as the design and built contractor for development of military quarters for Armed Forced through joint venture between SPNB and the Armed Forces Provident Board (LTAT) through Syarikat Usahasama SPNB-LTAT Sdn. Bhd. (USL). |

Special Housing Projects
As a government entity for housing project development, SPNB is also entrusted to accomplish various specialized housing as directed by the Ministry of Finance from time to time.
Among others, includes a total of 245* units of transit houses, 824* unit of new houses and another 450* units of repaired houses affected during Tsunami disaster on 26 December 2004. SPNB has also developed low cost apartments in Taman Medan Jaya, Petaling Jaya to resolve the squatters issue. |
